About Norma VallesWanting to show her support for the troops, Norma goes to DFW Airport in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and welcomes the troops home from Iraq and has even held special concerts at the airport while troops wait to board their plane back to Iraq. She recently took on the responsibility of being a co-owner of a Tex-Mex Restaurant in Dallas TX and on the first Tuesday of each month to show their support for the troops, the restaurant donates half of the sales (meal cost) to the USO Organization and Dear American Hero.In the past, she has been selected to perform leading roles in productions such as "The King and I", and independent productions "Fiestas de Mi Tierra" (Celebrations From My Land) and has starred in spanish movies "Yo Soy El Hijo del Michoacano". Her clear and smooth voice has landed her a host of recording voice-overs and jingles for TV and Radio as well as a spot as the hostess of Channel 44's "Happy Sunday's Variety Show" and Salud Para Usted y Su Familia (Health for you and your family).

DiscographyNorma's career began in 1998 as a soloist. She was invited numerous times to perform the National Anthem at major sporting events, during the playoffs, locally, nationally and internationally. She was also invited to sing the Mexican National Anthem when international teams visited the U.S.. She later joined a local Dallas group "Grupo Cariño" singing Norteño Music. In May 2002, as a soloist once again, she recorded her first CD "Ahi Te Va" (Here It Goes) featuring a mix of mariachi music and spanish love ballads that captured the attention of a devoted fan base. She
Her first English language recording effor was in 2004 "Reflections of Romance" and in January 2005 released her 2nd English language CD, "Every Time We Say Goodbye". In 2006 she released Noel (Christmas music in English) and Campanas De Belen (Christmas music in Spanish). She also cut a cd titled Living Like A Mustang with country favorites (some originals) for Fan Appreciation day at Lone Star Park (Horse Racing Track in Grand Prairie TX. Her latin CD titled "YA NO SOY LA MISMA" with her own lyrics was completed in 2006. |
